Mary Eads

Mary has been a part of JCPRD for her entire career, experiencing a multitude of positions within the agency that have ranged from working for the Park Rangers (precursor to the present-day Park Police) on the Shawnee Mission Lake waterfront, teaching Outdoor Education classes, and assisting the Administrative Services Division through the many phases of change brought on by a growing District.  She is a community volunteer for many different organizations including The Theatre in the Park, American Jazz Museum, area jazz festivals, Kansas City Corporate Challenge, and Kansas City Wildlands.  Photography, travel, hiking, and reading are some of the off-hour pursuits that take up way too much of her time, but she loves them all!

“We are so fortunate that our predecessors had the vision to acquire and set aside the many wonderful and diverse green spaces we enjoy in Johnson County. That vision is being continued today through the efforts of our many community partners – especially The Parks and Recreation Foundation of Johnson County. We trust your vision includes joining us!”
